About us
Oldham
PS is one of the oldest but one of the most progressive
photographic societies in Britain. Founded in 1867 by a group of
professional
photographers from the town, today our members are almost
all amateurs with a variety of photographic interests from digital
montage to
traditional darkroom monochrome.
We
are a group of around 35 members and our membership covers
a wide range of ages and ability, from international award winners
to people who just like to take photographs for fun. Everyone with
an interest in photography is welcome here.
We
look forward to seeing you - come along any Thursday evening.
Prospective
members are welcome to try
us out for a couple of weeks before committing to join.
Meetings
are on
most Thursdays throughout the year.
